If you are working with a wood sub-construction and need to find a permanent sound solution for your floor/ceiling assembly, it's time to catch THE WAVETM. THE WAVE is an acoustic underlayment that was specifically designed for commercial and residential construction over wood. Like traditional VERDEX®, THE WAVE is made of 100% recycled rubber and utilizes a bonding agent that is odorless and colorless. THE WAVE has a flat surface on one side and a dimpled surface on the other. These undulations capture sound waves as they pass through the floor/ceiling assembly caused by footfall upstairs. The goal is to increase the Impact Insulation Class (IIC) of your building to comply with new sound regulations passed by the International Building Code. The result is a quieter environment for work, play and easy living. Available in 6mm thickness with a 3mm dimple, and can be used under floated or glued laminate or engineered hardwood. The standard roll size is 5' x 25'.
