Natural Wool Insulation

Natural Wool Insulation

Natural Wool Insulation Made from an optimal blend of pure live sheep’s wool. Paragon Wool Products pure wool insulation does not contain any harsh chemicals or odors and is the only 100% green insulation on the market. When crimped woolen fibers are packed together, they form millions of tiny air pockets which trap air. These tiny pockets are what keep sheep warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. This natural adaptation works in the same manner to insulate your building or home. We use a variation of the same patented manufacturing process for both our pure wool insulation, bedding products, pet beds, and loose fiberfill. We start with pure, washed, live wool, so as to be debris free, and treat it with Larvanil, a safe and non-toxic moth repellent. Our manufacturing process combs the wool into springy balls. These balls give wool the elasticity necessary to keep our product from compressing and packing. This springiness is what is necessary to give our pure wool insulation a stable R-value for 50 years, as well as to give our pure wool loose fiberfill the inability to clump in your sofa cushions. Paragon Wool Products provides a natural fiber mesh to contain the knops within each wall compartment. This mesh is held by stapling it to the joists prior to blowing in our pure wool insulation.
