Monterrey Tec

Monterrey Tec Featured in BD&C The La Carreta pavilion and new library at Tecnológico de Monterrey were featured in a Building, Design & Construction article that highlights how shifts in the physical campus support shifts in the university’s educational ideologies. “‘Kit of Parts’ Anchors University’s Remake” discusses Sasaki’s involvement in both master planning and building out the Tec’s new interdisciplinary approach to learning. The master plan, known as Tec 21, is designed to support a more immerse educational experience focused around practical and industry-driven challenges. “In support of that model,” the article reads, “the architect, Boston-based Sasaki, has assembled a ‘toolkit’ of interchangeable spaces to help this university breathe life into older buildings and plan for academic spaces that reflect its new pedagogical goal.”
