With more than 60,000 visitors from over 125 countries, the International Home and Housewares Show is one of the most important housewares exhibitions in the world. As representatives of the Austrian Trade Commission, we visited the two Austrian companies, iSi and Riedel , who also exhibited their world-class products at the show. Riedel is one of the regular exhibitors in Chicago and has been attending the show for years. Among other glasses, the wine glass company presented the Amadeo Double Magnum Rainbow, a tremendous swan-style decanter with colorful stripes running along its contours and a signature of Elton John at the bottom. Only 50 of the 2,500 Dollar decanters were manufactured for the limited-edition series. The revenue from the sales will be donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. iSi, also a multi-year exhibitor, presented the latest designs and products of its home edition collection, besides its basic cooking utensils.
